Emery H. Sunday

Emery Sunday was born to Emery and Thelma Sunday on June 8, 1925 in Houston, TX. He had a sister, Verna and later on, a half-sister Sherry.



Emery spent his young life in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and joined the U.S. Marine Corps on his 18th birthday where he found his home for 12 years.



He and Millicent Ow were married in Tulsa, Oklahoma in December 1977 and made their home in Shingletown, CA for twenty years. During that time, Emery worked in his consulting engineering business, Fine Line Design, and commuted to various assignments in his beloved Cessna 172 airplane.



Upon retirement, he and Mille moved to Fortuna, CA where they have lived for the past five years, and recently returned to Redding due to failing health.



Step-children, Robert Ow, Debbie Startt and Melinda Brophy have been an important part of Emery's life.



Emery died on January 27, 2010 and will be buried in the Veterans Cemetery in Igo, CA on Monday, February 8, 2010 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Freedom Christian Center located at the Shasta Builders Exchange Training Center, 2985 Innsbruck Drive., Redding, CA 96003 on

Saturday February 6, at 11:00 a.m.
